Abstract:
In order to ensure recapping development width while minimizing degradation of an anti-heat generation property of a pneumatic tire, the present invention comprises a protruding section 30 that is provided to a buttress section 6 and protrudes outward in a tire width direction, and a straight line section 32 that is formed in a straight line shape in a meridional cross-sectional view of the tire and constitutes a surface of the protruding section 30 at a location on an inward side from an apex section 31 in a tire radius direction, said apex section 31 being an edge section on an outward side of the protruding section 30 in the tire width direction, wherein the apex section 31 is located within a recapping development width location 15, which is a range in the tire radius direction in which a boundary to which treads 2 are removed when recapping the treads 2 is located, and the straight line section 32 has an angle of 45° to 90° in relation to a horizontal line H, said horizontal line H being parallel to a tire rotation axis, at a location in the straight line section 32, said location being on an inward side in the tire width direction.
