Abstract:
Provided is a pneumatic tire which makes it possible to ensure the desired rigidity in a tread region and a side region while keeping a tire lightweight, by using a curved carcass structure in which the carcass cord angle continuously changes throughout the tread region and side region. One end of the carcass layer 4 extends to the contact patch end of a tread section 1 on the opposite side of the tire center line. The carcass layer 4 has a two-layer structure which includes an inside layer 4A positioned in the tread region Rt to the inside in the radial direction of the tire, and an outside layer 4B positioned in the tread region Rt to the outside of the inside layer 4A in the radial direction of the tire. The cord angle θ1 of the carcass layer 4 relative to the tire circumferential direction in the tread center region Rc differs from the cord angle θ1 of the carcass layer 4 relative to the tire circumferential direction in the side region Rs in the inside layer 4A and/or outside layer 4B.
