Abstract:
Provided is a pneumatic tire capable of excellently achieving both driving performance on unpaved roads and cut resistance of side-wall parts. This pneumatic tire comprises: a plurality of lug grooves 30 that extend in the tire width direction in a shoulder region of a tread part 1 and that reach a side-wall part 2; and shoulder blocks 50 and side blocks 60 partitioned by the lug grooves 30. Said side block 60, which is located more toward the outside in the tire width direction than the shoulder block 50, protrudes more than the shoulder block 50. At least a portion of the plurality of lug grooves 30 is made as a closed lug groove 30A that is closed by a protruding part 32 provided within the lug groove 30. The protruding part 32 is contiguous to the side blocks 60 located respectively on both sides, in the tire circumferential direction, of the closed lug groove 30A. The protruding part 32 is provided with a first narrow groove 33 that has a smaller groove width and groove depth than the lug groove and that extends in the tire width direction. At least one end part of the first narrow groove 33 is made to penetrate toward the closed lug groove 30A or the side-wall part 2.
