Abstract:
In the pneumatic tire according to the present invention, a circumferential belt comprises a band-shaped strip wrapped in a spiral, a tread section comprises at least three circumferential land sections, cords in a slanted belt layer are steel cords, the total cross-sectional area of the steel cords per 25 mm of width perpendicular to the extension direction of the steel cords is in the range of 2.3–4.0 mm2, a tire-widthwise-directional gap is present between each lap of the band-shaped strip, and the relationship W/{(w+2d)+0.3×w} ≥ 1.0 is satisfied, where W is the tire-widthwise-directional width of the circumferential land section having the smallest tire-widthwise-directional width from among the three or more circumferential land sections, w is the tire-widthwise-directional width of the band-shaped strip, and d is the width of the tire-widthwise-directional gap between the laps of the band-shaped strip.
