Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to achieve both improved performance on ice/snow and reduction of noise. This pneumatic tire 1 is equipped with: a plurality of circumferential main grooves 10 which are formed on a tread surface 3 and extend in a tire circumference direction; a plurality of lug grooves 15 which are formed on the tread surface 3 and extend in a tire width direction; a plurality of blocks 20 which are demarcated at both ends in the tire circumference direction by the lug grooves 15 while demarcated by the circumferential main grooves 10 at least at one end in the tire width direction; and sipes 30 which are formed on the blocks. Each sipe 30 comprises a plurality of bent parts 35, a circumferential sipe section 32 extending in the tire circumference direction, and a widthwise sipe section 31 extending in the tire width direction. A plurality of widthwise sipe sections 31 and/or of circumferential sipe sections 32 are provided, whereby the sipe has a plurality of intersecting points where one of which intersects with the other.
