Abstract:
Provided is a pneumatic tire in which it is possible to effectively suppress uneven wear in the shoulder region and center region of a tread part, while reducing rolling resistance. This pneumatic tire is provided with a carcass layer 4 and two belt layers 7, the belt layers 7 including a plurality of belt cords C that are inclined in relation to the tire circumferential direction, and the belt layers 7 being disposed so that the belt cords C are mutually perpendicular between layers, wherein an inclination angle α in relation to the tire circumferential direction at a tire center position CL of the belt cords C and an inclination angle β in relation to the tire circumferential direction at a belt end position BE of the belt cords C satisfy the relationship 15° ≤ β <α ≤ 35°, and when the pneumatic tire is filled to an air pressure of 240 kPa, the maximum ground contact length in the tire circumferential direction is defined as L1 when contacting the ground under the condition in which a load is applied of 75% of the maximum load capability set according to a standard, the maximum ground contact width in the tire width direction is defined as W1, and the ground contact length in the tire circumferential direction is defined as L2 at a position that is 40% of the maximum ground contact width W1 from the tire center position CL to the tire width direction outer side, then the maximum ground contact length L1 and the ground contact length L2 satisfy the relationship 0.8 ≤ L2/L1 ≤ 1.0.
