Abstract:
This pneumatic tire is provided with: a pair of bead cores; and a carcass comprising a single carcass ply provided with a body section extending toroidally continuously between the pair of bead cores, the carcass ply being also provided with turned-back sections, each of which extends continuously from the body section and is wrapped around a bead core from the inside in the width direction of the tire to the outside in the width direction of the tire and turned back. The turned-back sections of the carcass ply has overlapped ply regions extending along the body section of the carcass ply. The distance L1 in the radial direction of the tire measured from an inner end of the carcass ply in the radial direction of the tire to the corresponding inner end of the overlapped ply region in the radial direction of the tire is from 4 to 45 mm, the fineness per single carcass ply cord constituting the carcass ply is from 5000 to 9100 dtex, and the bending resistance of the carcass ply cord is from 30 to 120 mN.
