Provided is a pneumatic tire enabling both improved maneuvering stability performance on dry road surfaces and improved maneuvering stability performance on wet road surfaces, which are achieved by appropriately shaping the chamfers of sipes. Each sipe 11 has a leading ground contacting edge 11A and a trailing ground contacting edge 11B, the leading ground contacting edge 11A and the trailing ground contacting edge 11B each have formed thereon a chamfered section 12 having a length smaller than the length L of the sipe 11, and the portions of the sipe 11, which face the chamfered sections 12, have non-chamfered regions 13 where there are no chamfered sections. In all the chamfered sections which are formed in grooves other than a main groove 9 and which include the chamfered sections 12 of at least the sipes 11, the total volume SCE of chamfered sections included in a center region CE located on the center side in the tire width direction when a ground contact width TW is equally divided into three sections in the tire width direction, and the total volume SSH of chamfered sections included in shoulder regions SH located on both sides of the center region CE satisfy the relationship of SCE < SSH.
