Abstract:
Provided is a pneumatic tire that has outstanding air retention properties and outstanding adhesiveness at an interface (in particular, a joint section) between a first layer and a second layer, and that suppresses cracking in the first layer. The present invention relates to a pneumatic tire, comprising a carcass, a third layer that is adjacent to the carcass on the inner side in the radial direction of the tire, a second layer that is adjacent to the third layer on the inner side in the radial direction of the tire, and a first layer that is adjacent to the second layer on the inner side in the radial direction of the tire. The third layer is disposed along the carcass continuously at least from a bead apex tip section to an outer-end lower section of a breaker in the axial direction of the tire. The first layer is formed of a first layer-use rubber composition that contains a thermoplastic elastomer and a butyl rubber; the second layer is formed of a second layer-use rubber composition that contains a butyl rubber and an isoprene rubber; and the third layer is formed of a third layer-use rubber composition that contains an isoprene rubber.
