Abstract:
In order to achieve both scratch resistance and fuel efficiency, a pneumatic tire 1 includes a plurality of protruding sections 30 that are formed on at least one tire side section 20 of tire side sections 20 located at both ends of a tire in a tire width direction, that protrude from a tire side surface 21 serving as the surface of the tire side section 20, and that extend along the tire side surface 21, wherein the protruding sections 30 each have a relative angle α that falls within the range from 6% to 50%, both inclusive, of an angle 2π of one circle of the tire in a tire circumferential direction, the relative angle α being formed in the tire circumferential direction between two protruding-section end-position lines Lc that pass through different ones of both ends 31 of the protruding section 30 in the extension direction and that extend in tire radial directions; and the tire side sections 20 each have, at the maximum tire-width position W, a thickness Ga that falls within the range from 2 mm to 9 mm, both inclusive.
