The tread pattern of a pneumatic tire comprises: a first circumferential main groove which is provided to a first side of the tire width direction; a second circumferential main groove which is provided further outward in the tire width direction than the first circumferential main groove; a first circumferential narrow groove which is provided to a region between the first circumferential main groove and the second circumferential main groove, and has a narrower width than the first circumferential main groove and the second circumferential main groove; middle lug grooves which are provided to the aforementioned region, extend from the second circumferential main groove in the direction of the first circumferential narrow groove, and are closed off without reaching the first circumferential narrow groove; and sipes which are provided to the aforementioned region, extend from the closed ends of the middle lug grooves, and connect the closed ends to the first circumferential narrow groove. Lug grooves are not provided to the region between the first circumferential main groove and the first circumferential narrow groove, and the groove wall on the first circumferential narrow groove side of the first circumferential main groove is provided in a continuous form around the entire circumference of the tire.
