Abstract:
This pneumatic tire comprises a pair of beads, a carcass that is composed of one or more carcass plies, and a belt that is composed of two or more inclined belt layers. In a carcass turnup portion, the end of the carcass turnup portion of the carcass ply located on the outermost side of the tire is located between a carcass body portion and the tire radially innermost inclined belt layer in the tire radial direction and further inward in the tire width direction than the tire widthwise end of the tire radially outermost inclined belt layer. In the carcass turnup portion, the carcass cords in the carcass turnup portion of the carcass ply located on the outermost side of the tire and the belt cords of the tire radially outermost inclined belt layer intersect so as to incline in the same direction as each other in the tire circumferential direction from one side in the tire width direction to the other, and the difference between the inclination angles is 30° or less. The width of the tire radially outermost inclined belt layer in the tire width direction is greater than the width of the tire radially innermost inclined belt layer in the tire width direction. The in-plane rigidity per unit width of the tire radially innermost inclined belt layer is higher than the in-plane rigidity per unit width of the tire radially outermost inclined belt layer.
