Abstract:
This pneumatic tire 1, which achieves a high level of driving comfort and operation safety, comprises a bead core 5 in which, in the tire width direction cross section, the ratio of the maximum width of the core and the height of the core is less than or equal to 0.8. In at least one section between the bead 2 and the side wall 3, a cord 9 is provided that forms an angle of 0°-10° with respect to the circumferential direction. The cord 9 has an inflection point in the stress-strain curve, and has a low elastic modulus in the low-strain region at and below the deflection point, and a high elastic modulus in the high-strain region above the deflection point.
