Abstract:
A pneumatic tire 1 comprising a tread 2. A circumferential direction main groove 12 positioned on the outermost side when attached to the vehicle has a ratio W1/W2 of 0.30–0.75 between a groove width W1 at a position at 90% of the groove depth, when the depth at the bottom of the groove is 100%, and a groove width W2 at the tread surface. The ratio La/Lb, between the length La in the tire 1 circumferential direction C and the sum L between the total length Lb1 of the edge component in the width direction W of the width direction grooves 21, 22, 25, 26 and the total length Lb2 of the edge component in the width direction W of the sipes 23, 24, 27, 28, is 0.10–0.20. A rubber component forming the tread 2 has: a 5°C tan δ of 0.10–0.60; a |20°C tan –50° tan δ|of no more than 0.10; and a 20°C E' of at least 5.0 MPa.
