Abstract:
Provided is a pneumatic tire that enables improvement of the durability of the tire during run-flat travel, while reducing cavernous resonance. A band-shaped sound-absorbing material 11 is fixed along an inner surface of a tread section 2 in the tire circumferential direction; the sound-absorbing material 11 is located so that end sections 11a in the tire width direction are located further outward in the tire width direction than shoulder main grooves 22B at the outermost positions in the tire width direction; the width W1 of the sound-absorbing material 11 in the tire width direction and the tread development width TDW of the tread section 2 satisfy the range relationship 0.65 ≤ (W1 ⁄ TDW) ≤ 0.90; and the width W1 of the sound-absorbing material 11 and the belt width W2 of a first belt ply 71 which has the maximum width in a belt layer 7 satisfy the range relationship 0.70 ≤ (W1 ⁄ W2) ≤ 0.95.
