Abstract:
The present invention provides a pneumatic tire that makes it possible to achieve high-speed steering stability, high-speed durability, and low rolling resistance to a high degree. This pneumatic tire has embedded therein a reinforcing layer including cords. For the cord rubber covering the cords included in the reinforcing layer, there is used a rubber composition in which: 30–60 parts by mass of carbon black having a nitrogen adsorption specific surface area N2SA of 100m2/g or greater, and optionally 0–10 parts by mass (inclusive) of aroma oil, are blended with 100 parts by mass of a rubber component containing 70–100 mass% of natural rubber; and the relationship TB2/M100≥50.0 is satisfied by the breaking strength TB (units: MPa) at 100°C and the 100% elongation stress M100 (units: MPa) at 100°C.
