Abstract:
Provided is technology that improves drainage without diminishing traction performance in a pneumatic tire to be used as an on-road drive wheel. A pneumatic tire 100 to be used as a drive wheel is provided, on the tread surface section thereof, with a directional pattern that includes a plurality of width-direction grooves 11, 12. In a tire width-direction cross-section of a tread part 1, when each region obtained by dividing tread half-width regions, as measured along the tire surface from the tire equator CL to a tread ground-contact end TE, into two equal parts are, starting from the tire equator side, defined as a tread center section Tc and a tread shoulder section Ts, the plurality of width-direction grooves 11, 12 extend so as to cross the tread center section Tc and have a convex shape protruding in the tire rotation direction.
