Abstract:
Provided is a pointer device which makes it possible to easily perform a pointing input while making it possible to operate a button or thumbstick without difficulty. This pointer device points at a position in a detection region of a position detection sensor as a result of the interaction between a signal and the position detection sensor. The pointer device is equipped with: a pointer main body which stores a circuit for performing the interaction, and a tip end section for pointing which points at a pointing target position; and a support part configured so as to support the pointer main body and hold the pointer main body on the finger of a user. The support part is configured in a manner such that the finger pad at the finger tip of the finger of the user is not covered by the pointer main body, the tip end section for pointing projects farther than does the tip end of the finger tip of the finger of the user, and the pointer main body is held in a state in which it is possible for the user to bend their finger.
