A pointer instrument capable of reducing a leakage of light beam to an indicator panel side, comprising a pointer (6) having an indication member (61) formed of a translucent resin material brightened by an illumination light led from the rear side of a rotating center area (R) and a cover member (62) formed of a light shielding resin material covering the outer periphery thereof except for the rear side of the rotating center area (R) and drivingly rotated by a drive device (2), an indicator panel (3) disposed at the rear of the pointer (6) apart by a specified distance part (S) from the cover member (62) and having a translucent part (33) in correspondence with the rotating center area (R), and a light source (5) installed at the rear of the indicator panel (3) and generating an illuminating light, wherein a light beam leakage preventing part (634) suppressing the leakage of light from a clearance part (S) is provided on the rear side of the rotating center area (R) (rear side of a pedestal part (632)) except for an illumination light inlet part (light receiving part (611), reflection part (612)).
