Abstract:
A simple pointer lighting structure wherein the weight of rotating portions including a pointer body is reduced. A case (20) of a pointer movement (1) contains therein a rotor (32), a rotating and driving mechanism including an intermediate gear (33), and an output gear (34). The rotating and driving mechanism transmits to the output gear (34) a rotation based on a measured amount and rotates through the output gear (34) a pointer body (10) supported by a bearing section (22c). The bearing section (22c) rotatably supports a shaft (11) of the pointer body (10), and the pointer body (10) rotates on the shaft (11) to allow a pointer (12) of the pointer body (10) to point a measured value. A light source (13) is adapted to illuminate the pointer (12) of the pointer body (10). In the pointer movement (1), the bearing section (22c) consists of a material allowing light from the light source (13) to pass therethrough and is formed integrally with a lower case (22) of the case (20) so as to be located at a position which is on a light path and is closer to the light source (13) than the shaft (11) of the pointer body (10).
