Abstract:
A pointing device (20) is provided. The pointing device (20) includes a body (100), a control member (140) received in a recess (102) of the body (100) and rotatable with respect to the body (100), a first rotation tracking sensor (110) arranged in the recess (102) and configured to track a rotation of the control member (140) about a first axis and a second axis perpendicular to the first axis in a Cartesian coordinate system that is defined with respect to the recess (102), and a second rotation tracking sensor (120) arranged in the recess (102) and configured to track a rotation of the control member (140) about a third axis perpendicular to the first and second axes in the Cartesian coordinate system. An associated method of manufacturing the pointing device (20) is also provided.
