Abstract:
Disclosed in embodiments of the present invention are a polar code encoding method and apparatus. The encoding method may comprise: a reception end receives a polar code and indication information for indicating that the code length of the polar code is N, which are sent by a transmission end; determining that the quantity of survivor paths of the polar code is L according to a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of receiving the polar code and the code length N of the polar code, L being a positive integer; and performing successive cancellation list (SCL) encoding on the polar code according to the quantity L of the survivor paths so as to obtain L survivor paths, and checking at least one of the L survivor paths so as to obtain the encoding result of the polar code. By using the present invention, the defect in the prior art of high encoding complexity caused by the unchanged quantity L of survivor paths in the polar code encoding can be resolved.
