Abstract:
A polarization control system and a display device using the system are provided
for making it possible to realize a good dark state with a wide direction and a wide
viewing angle by means of an E-type polarizing element and also to realize a good
bright state with a wide direction and a wide viewing angle by means of a viewing
angle control element for controlling a travelling direction of light passing
through the E-type polarizing element. The polarization control system is
a polarization control system structured by using a plurality of polarizing
elements, and is provided with the E-type polarizing elements and the viewing
angle control element for controlling a travelling direction of light passing
through the E-type polarizing element.
