Abstract:
A polarization grating device and a liquid crystal display. The polarization grating device comprises a lens assembly (31), a polarization grating assembly (32), and a phase control assembly (33) which are stacked in sequence. The lens assembly (31) comprises a first base material (311) and a plurality of lenses (312) fixed on a same surface of the first base material (311); the lens assembly (31) is used for receiving backlight (L1); and each lens (312) is used for guiding part of the backlight (L1) to the polarization grating assembly (32). The polarization grating assembly (32) is used for respectively converting the backlight (L1) into left-handed circularly polarized light (L11) and right-handed circularly polarized light (L12) and then emitting same. The phase control assembly (33) is used for receiving the left-handed circularly polarized light (L11) and the right-handed circularly polarized light (L12), and is used for converting the left-handed circularly polarized light (L11) and the right-handed circularly polarized light (L12) into light source light (L2) for emission.
