Abstract:
The present invention provides: a polarization plate that includes a high transmittance polarizer that can be desirably used for a circular polarizing plate in which a significant degradation in anti-reflection ability is suppressed when disposed on a display element; a circular polarization plate; and a display device. This polarization plate includes a polarizer and an adjacent layer in contact with the polarizer, wherein the transmittance in the absorption axis direction of the polarizer is at least 4.0%, and the in-plane average refractive index of the adjacent layer satisfies the relationship of expression (X). Expression (X): the refractive index in the transmission axis direction of the polarizer < the in-plane average refractive index of the adjacent layer < the refractive index in the absorption axis direction of the polarizer
