A method for manufacturing a polarizing lens, capable of forming a homogeneous polarizing element on the curved surface of the lens. A polarizing lens is manufactured by: a step for forming parallel grooves in the surface of the lens base material by pressing the convex surface of the lens base material against a rotating surface, which consists of an elastic body which holds abrasive powder, and rotating the elastic body, the rotating surface having a length in the rotation axis direction greater than the diameter of the lens base material; a step for applying a polarizing coloring matter to the surface of the lens base material having the parallel grooves formed therein; and a step for forming the polarizing element by fixing the polarizing coloring matter.
