Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a polarizing film that has a high dichroic ratio. [Solution] A polarizing film according to the present invention includes a disazo compound represented by general formula (1) and a monoazo compound represented by general formula (2). In general formula (1) and (2), Q represents a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group, and R1 and R2 represent a hydrogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted acetyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted benzoyl group, or a substituted or unsubstituted phenyl group. M1 and M2 represent a counter ion, m1 and m2 represent an integer of 0-2, n1 and n2 represent an integer of 0-6, o1 represents an integer of 0-1, and p1 and p2 represent an integer of 1-4.
