Title:
POLARIZING FILM LAMINATE HAVING TRANSPARENT ADHESIVE LAYER, AND DISPLAY PANEL
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2017/014242
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is an easily and inexpensively producible polarizing film laminate containing an adhesive layer and capable of effectively suppressing internal reflection when used in an image display panel. By forming a refractive index-adjusting section that has a higher refractive index than does the base material of the adhesive layer, throughout a given range in the thickness direction from the surface of the adhesive layer, it is possible, when using the adhesive layer to join optical members, to suppress internal reflection in a laminate formed from the optical members. A polarizing film laminate comprising an adhesive layer and a polarizing film on a principal surface of the adhesive layer, and containing a base adhesive section substantially formed from a transparent adhesive base material starting from one principal surface and extending in the thickness direction, and a transparent, adhesive refractive index-adjusting section formed from the other principal surface of the adhesive layer and extending in the thickness direction, wherein the refractive index-adjusting section has a higher refractive index than does the refractive index of the adhesive base material, and the adhesive base material section of the adhesive layer is positioned on the polarizing film-side of the adhesive layer.
