Abstract:
The present invention relates to a polarizing film and a method for manufacturing same and, more specifically, to a method for manufacturing a polarizing film and a polarizing film according to the method, in which, in the manufacture of a polarizing film through lamination of polycarbonate (PC) films and a polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) film which constitute the polarizing film, the surfaces of the PC films are made hydrophilic, and a PVA film is laminated to the hydrophilic surfaces of the PC films by using a water-based adhesive, thus manufacturing a polarizing film harmless to the human body. The present invention provides: a polarizing film comprising a PVA film, and PC film parts which are hydrophilically surface-treated and are adhered to both surfaces of the PVA film, wherein the PC film parts are attached to the PVA film by using a water-based adhesive; and a method for manufacturing a polarizing film, the method comprising the steps of: (a) hydrophilically surface-treating a surface of a PC film part; (b) drying the surface-treated PC film part; and (c) attaching the dried PC film parts to both surfaces of a PVA film by using a water-based adhesive, to thereby manufacture a polarizing film.
