Abstract:
Provided is a polarizing plate whereby cracking of a polarizer due to a temperature change can be suppressed. A polarizing plate (1A) is provided with a film-shaped polarizer (7) and a resin layer (9) including a cured resin material, the resin layer (9) being superposed on the polarizer (7) and adhered to the polarizer (7), and a recessed notch (7C) being formed in an end part (7e) of the polarizer (7). Alternatively, a hole (21) is formed which penetrates through the polarizer (7).
