Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a polarizing plate which has excellent reworkability and is suitable for a portable terminal with a large screen such as a tablet and a liquid crystal display device such as a monitor. [Solution] A polarizing plate for IPS mode liquid crystal display devices, which is a resin film obtained by sequentially laminating a first protective film having a tensile elastic modulus at 23°C of 3,400-8,000 MPa, a polarizing film and a second protective film in this order, and wherein: the polarizing film has a thickness of 15 μm or less; the first protective film has an in-plane retardation at a wavelength of 590 nm (Re(590)) of 10 nm or less and an absolute value of the retardation in the thickness direction at a wavelength of 590 nm (Rth(590)) of 10 nm or less; and the thickness of the first protective film is larger than the thickness of the polarizing film.
