Abstract:
[Problem] The purpose of the present invention is to provide a polarizing plate layered body (10) used to fabricate an image display device in which the occurrence of reduced visibility and iridescent color spots when viewing the image display device through sunglasses is suppressed. [Solution] A polarizing plate layered body (10) comprising a linear polarizing plate (11), a retardation plate (12), and a light diffusing plate (13) in this order, the in-plane retardation value Re(550) of the retardation plate (12) at a measurement wavelength of 550 nm being 3000 nm or greater, the absorption axis of the linear polarizing plate (11) and the slow axis of the retardation plate (12) being non-parallel and non-orthogonal, and the internal haze of the light diffusing plate (13) being 60% or greater.
