Abstract:
A polarizing plate which comprises a polarizing plate protective film having a thickness of 20 μm or more on both surfaces or one surface of a polarizer with an adhesive layer being interposed therebetween, and wherein at least one of the polarizer, the polarizing plate protective film and the adhesive layer contains one or more dyes that have a main absorption wavelength band of 480-510 nm or 580-610 nm; and a liquid crystal display device which comprises this polarizing plate in the downstream in the emission direction of light that is emitted from a backlight unit.
