Abstract:
Provided is a polarizing plate which has excellent durability. A polarizing plate according to an embodiment of the present invention and having: a polarizer which has a first main surface and a second main surface which are opposite one another; a laminated film that is disposed on the first main surface side of the polarizer and includes a substrate and a hardcoat layer, in this order from the polarizer side; and a phase difference layer disposed on the second main surface side of the polarizer. Therein, the moisture permeability of the laminated film is 600 g/m2·24h or less; the rate of change in the moisture permeability of the laminated film resulting from placing the laminated film in an environment of 65°C and 95% RH for 48 hours is 1.5 or less; and the moisture permeability of the phase difference layer is 200g/m2 ·24h or less.
