Abstract:
The present invention provides a polarizing plate having excellent durability and excellent flexibility despite being extremely thin. A polarizing plate according to the present invention has a polarizer, and a protective layer that is disposed on one side of the polarizer. The protective layer is formed from a photocationically cured product of an epoxy resin having at least one selected from the group consisting of aromatic skeletons and hydrogenated aromatic skeletons, or from a solid product of a coating film obtained from an organic solvent solution of an epoxy resin. The polarizing plate has a total thickness of 20 μm or less.
