Abstract:
Provided is a policy selection system that enables the selection of policy reflecting a change in public opinion after an election in a timely manner. The policy selection system comprises: means that enable at least one out of a plurality of policy data items collected in advance on a web server (2) to be selected so that web votes can be cast within a predetermined period from predetermined web voting terminals (4) and (5) by election voters and an election winner in a predetermined election region; means that calculate the number of web votes for each of the policy data items by the election winner; and means that select the policy data item having the largest number of web votes by the election voters or the largest combined total number of web votes by the election voters and the election winner as a subject for council deliberation when the number of the election voters participating in the web voting is equal to or larger than a predetermined ratio of the total number of the election voters in the predetermined election region, and that select the policy data item having the largest number of web votes by the election winner as a subject for council deliberation when the number of the election voters participating in the web voting is equal to or less than a predetermined ratio of the election voters in the predetermined election region.
