Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a polishing agent composition for fluorophosphate glasses, which has a high polishing speed and can polish a fluorophosphate glass as an alternative for a cerium oxide-based polishing agent. The polishing agent composition for fluorophosphate glasses comprises silica, a water-soluble polymeric compound, an acid and/or a salt thereof, and water, and has a pH value (at 25°C) ranging from 1.0 to 9.0. The silica is colloidal silica and has an average particle diameter (D50) ranging from 10 nm to 200 nm, and a polymer having a constituent unit derived from a polysaccharide and/or an unsaturated amide can be used as the water-soluble polymeric compound.
