Abstract:

A polishing brush (1) comprises: abrasive material bundles (22) in which multiple linear abrasive materials (21), obtained by impregnating and solidifying resin in aggregated fibers of inorganic filaments, are bundled; and an abrasive material holder (23) for holding the multiple abrasive material bundles (22). A circular abrasive material-holding groove (28) is formed in the abrasive material holder (23) and an adhesive (29) is filled in the abrasive material-holding groove (28). The respective base end portions (22a) of the multiple abrasive material bundles (22) are inserted in the abrasive material-holding groove (28) mutually separated from each other and are fixed in the abrasive material holder (23) by the adhesive (29). Even when the diameter, etc. of the abrasive material bundle (22) is larger than the width of the groove, the abrasive material bundle (22) can be inserted in the groove by deforming the abrasive material bundle (22) to conform to the groove.
