Abstract:
The present invention relates to a robot cleaner and, more particularly, to an autonomous cleaning robot system which is capable of initiating autonomous cleaning by determining a contamination degree, and a contamination measuring apparatus which is comprised in the robot system. The robot cleaner comprises: a running driving unit for running the robot cleaner; a cleaning unit for using an absorbing device or a damp duster cleaning unit to clean a contaminated area; a communication unit for receiving a transmission signal packet, transmitted from at least one contamination degree measuring devices, at least one or more occupant detection sensors or a remote control; a controller for analyzing the transmission signal packet received through the communication unit to determine whether to carry out autonomous cleaning, and for controlling the running driving unit, if the autonomous cleaning is required, such that the transmission signal packet is transmitted to the contamination degree measuring devices, the occupant detection sensors or the remote control, and then controlling the cleaning unit to carry out autonomous cleaning.
