Title:
POLYACENE DERIVATIVES AND PRODUCTION THEREOF
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2001/064611
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Polyacene derivatives of the general formula (I); a process for preparing the derivatives from polyhydro compounds; and electrically conductive materials containing the derivatives: In said formula (I) R?1¿ to R?10¿ are each hydrogen, hydrocarbyl, or alkoxy; A?1¿ and A?2¿ are each hydrogen, halogeno, hydrocarbyl, alkoxy, cyano, or the like; and n is an integer of 1 or above, or alternatively R?6¿ and R?7¿ may form a ring. According to the process, arbitrary substituents can be introduced into polyacene at arbitrary carbon atoms to increase the number of fused aromatic rings.
