Abstract:
A polyacetal composite which comprises a polymer part (A) comprising a polyacetal resin and directly bonded thereto a polymer part (B) comprising a thermoplastic resin or elastomer having acid groups. Examples of the acid groups include a carboxyl group and a carboxylic anhydride group. Examples of the thermoplastic resin or elastomer having acid groups include copolymers formed from monomers containing at least one comonomer selected among acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, fumaric acid, maleic acid, maleic anhydride, and itaconic acid. Representative examples thereof include acid-modified polystyrene and acid-modified NBR (acid-modified nitrile rubber). In this polyacetal composite, the polyacetal resin is tenaciously bonded to the polymeric material of another kind.
