Abstract:
A polyamide and a preparation method therefor. A polyamide (PA) XY/XZ is formed by polymerizing the following components: X, which is an aliphatic diamine containing 8 to 14 carbon atoms without a side chain; Y, which is an aliphatic diacid containing 4 to 10 carbon atoms without a side chain, wherein the total number of carbon atoms in X is greater than that in Y by at least 2; and Z, which is an aromatic dicarboxylic acid and/or an aliphatic cyclic dicarboxylic acid and/or a mixture thereof. In the PA XY/XZ, the molar fraction of XY is 40-100%, the molar fraction of XZ is 0-60%, and the sum of the molar contents of XY and XZ is 100%. In addition, the present invention further relates to a composition and an article that comprise the polyamide.
