Abstract:
Provided is a glass fiber-reinforced polyamide resin composition which enables the achievement of a molded article that has high vibration resistance characteristics, i.e. an extremely high resonant frequency, and which has excellent discoloration resistance against weathering. A glass fiber-reinforced polyamide resin composition which contains (A) a polyamide resin that is configured from (a1) an aliphatic polyamide and (a2) a polyamide containing an aromatic component, (B) glass fibers having a cross-sectional area of from 1.5 × 10-6 cm2 to 5.0 × 10-6 cm2, (C) a carbon black, (D) a hindered amine light stabilizer and (E) an ultraviolet absorbent, and which is configured such that: the mass ratio of the polyamide resin (A) to the glass fibers (B), namely (A):(B) is from 20:80 to 35:65; the mass ratio of the aliphatic polyamide (a1) to the polyamide (a2) containing an aromatic component, namely (a1):(a2) is from 5:95 to 95:5; and the contents of the carbon black (C), the hindered amine light stabilizer (D) and the ultraviolet absorbent (E) in the polyamide resin composition are 0-5% by mass, 0.05-1% by mass and 0-1% by mass, respectively.
