Abstract:
Provided is a polyamide resin composition suitable for a slide fastener component, especially for a material used for production of a pull tab, which exhibits superior toughness, has excellent dyeing affinity, and helps attain physical strength after dyeing. This polyamide resin composition for a slide fastener comprises a polyamide resin and a reinforcement fiber, wherein: the total mass of the polyamide resin and the reinforcement fiber accounts for at least 90 mass% of the composition; poly meta-xylylene adipamide (MXD6) accounts for at least 60 mass% of the polyamide resin; the reinforcement fiber accounts for 45-70 mass% of the total mass of the polyamide resin and the reinforcement fiber; a first reinforcement fiber having a fiber diameter of 5-7 μm and a second reinforcement fiber having a fiber diameter greater by at least 2 μm than that of the first reinforcement fiber account for at least 90 mass% of the entire reinforcement fiber; and the first reinforcement fiber accounts for not less than 20 mass% but less than 50 mass% of the entire reinforcement fiber.
