Abstract:
Provided are: a polyarylene sulfide (PAS) resin molded article for laser welding having excellent laser permeability and laser welding strength; a resin composition that can provide the molded article; and production methods for same. More specifically, the PAS resin composition for laser welding, formed by combining PAS resin and an elastomer, is characterised in that: the weight-average molecular weight of the PAS resin is less than 40,000; the linear growth speed of the crystals of the PAS resin is not more than 10µm/minute; the amount of the elastomer combined with the PAS resin is not more than 10 parts by mass relative to 100 parts by mass of the PAS resin; and the average dispersion diameter of the elastomer is not more than 5µm.
