Abstract:
Disclosed is a polyarylene sulfide resin composition which, useful in applications such as injection molded electronic components (in particular connectors), has reduced chlorine content, results in few burrs during molding and high fluidity, is highly resistant to heat and to heat treatment under high-temperature conditions, and is capable of being molded at a low mold temperatures; also, molded products of said resin composition having an extremely few changes in surface color before and after reflow soldering. The disclosed polyarylene sulfide resin composition has a total chlorine content of 950 ppm or less, and is formed by mixing, for every 100 parts by weight of (A) polyarylene sulfide resin with a chlorine content of 500-2000 ppm and a melt viscosity of 10-200 Pa⋅s (310C, shear rate 1200sec-1), 10-100 parts by weight of (B) a liquid crystalline polyester amide resin and 5-25 parts per weight of (C) glass fibers with a nitrogen content of 100ppm or less.
