Abstract:
The present invention relates to a polyarylene sulfide resin manufacturing method comprising: a process for obtaining a poly(arylene sulfonium salt) having specified constituent units by reacting a sulfoxide represented by general formula (1) with a specific aromatic compound; and a process for obtaining a polyarylene sulfide resin having specified constituent units by dealkylating or dearylating the poly(arylene sulfonium salt). (In the formula, R1 represents a C1 - C10 alkyl group, etc. Ar1 and Ar2 each independently represent an arylene group that may have a substituent. Z represents a direct bond, etc.)
