Abstract:
The problem addressed by the present invention is to provide a polybutylene terephthalate resin composition that has a low dielectric loss tangent in high-frequency bands of 1 GHz and higher, that maintains dielectric properties even in a high-temperature, high-humidity environment, and that has improved weather resistance, and a molded article thereof. The problem is solved by a polybutylene terephthalate resin composition that blends a polybutylene terephthalate resin (A) ("component (A)"), in which 0.1-2.0 mol% of a C10-50 aliphatic alcohol is combined based on 100 mol% of terephthalic acid, with 1-100 weight parts of an acrylonitrile-styrene copolymer resin (B) ("component (B)") per 100 weight parts of component (A), wherein the polybutylene terephthalate resin composition satisfies condition (i) below. Condition (i): the main idea is that the ratio ((b)/(a)) of the amount (a) of residues of the C10-50 aliphatic alcohol combined in component (A) and the amount (b) of cyano groups in component (B) contained in a polybutylene terephthalate resin composition unit weight is 5 or more.
