Abstract:
Provided is a halogen-free polybutylene terephthalate resin composition which is black and has excellent tracking resistance.
This polybutylene terephthalate resin composition comprises a polybutylene terephthalate resin and a colorant, wherein the colorant comprises (1) a combination of a blue organic pigment (a), a yellow organic pigment (b), and a red organic pigment (c) or (2) a combination of a blue organic pigment (a) and an orange organic pigment (d), none of these organic pigments (a) to (d) containing any halogen atom in the molecular structure, and the polybutylene terephthalate resin composition gives a molded article that has an L* value according to the L*a*b* color system, as determined in accordance with JIS Z8729 (2004), of 25 or less and that has a comparative tracking index, as determined in accordance with UL746A, of 0 in terms of PLC grade.
