Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a polycarbonate diol suitable as a paint material or as a raw material of polyurethane. In the case of use as a constituent material of paint, the purpose of the present invention is to provide a polycarbonate diol which enables achieving a paint film that can ensure chemical resistance and/or adhesion to a substrate. Further, in the case of use as a raw material of polyurethane, the purpose of the present invention is to provide a polycarbonate diol with which it is possible to obtain polyurethane that can ensure mechanical strength, heat resistance and/or flexibility. This polycarbonate diol contains a repeating unit represented by a specific formula (A), and a terminal hydroxyl group, and more than zero mol% and less than or equal to 3.0 mol% of the terminals are oxolane terminals represented by a specific formula (B).
